Hello everyone!
Once again, it's time for the game's Activity Check
but, as you may know, we had a poll about this and a few other things last time. This post is to give you the decisions we have made, as well as explaining any changes, before getting onto the matter of AC.
AC and cast limits
- From the poll and the comments given, it has been decided to keep AC the same (one post or two comment threads of any size). However from August's AC onwards, you must explicitly request a second chance if you do not have activity. This replaces the policy of having an automatic second chance. The warned list will go up with the usual period of four days to reply and anyone who does not answer will be considered dropped. You may appeal this in exceptional circumstances by talking to a mod.
- For the time being, private or closed threads do not count towards AC. To be counted towards your activity, posts must be open. It doesn't matter who comments or how many responses you have as long as you meet that condition.
- We are not going to bring in a cast limit, but it has been decided that for the time being we shall limit all casts to one OU and two AUs per character. For the interests of sanity, canon AUs (eg. movieverse or a canon highschool version) still count as AU.
PDA's and Prefects
- We are going to be continuing the current policy that PDAs must be bought from the shop. We would like to remind everyone the dorms each have several computers, in addition to the computer lab on campus that any Players or Weapons with permission can use. Also, word of mouth is effective in a small space like Rakuen. It's highly likely your character will hear about PDAs in passing or just notice someone else using one in public.
- The idea of Prefects doing tours and explanations was a good one. Perhaps a couple of Prefects each rest day to do a tour of their campus (including computer rooms and how to use them) and a couple from each school to do tours of the town (including Recette's shop, explaining PDAs there). Furthermore, PDAs do come complete with manuals for those that might not be the most tech-savvy, and the network is likewise explained in the school handbook.
- In a few days we will make a post for Prefects, where these things can be organised among yourselves much like the Rest Day Jobs post.
- There was also a suggestion of having more clubs and societies and the mods would like to remind you that things like that are strongly encouraged. You don't need mod permission or anything to create one, characters just need to pick a time, advertise and have fun! There is a page to record clubs and societies here.
That is the end of the announcements, now on to AC!
To pass activity check you must have made one post or two comment threads of any size since the last Activity check (14th July).
Activity check will last until the 12th of August, after which a list of those characters in danger of being removed will be put up. If you are on this list you will have until the 15th August to report your activity or talk to the mods about extenuating circumstances.
Characters who arrived in-game for Round 12 (so those whose arrival date was the 21st July) are exempt from activity check for this month, as are those on hiatus.
The following characters were on the warned list last time and must post double activity (that is two posts or four comment threads) this time in order to remain in the game.
Spades Slick
Arthur PendragonDuzell
Nepeta Vantas (AU)
Gamzee Makara (AU)
Terezi Pyrope (AU)
Dean Winchester
Also Jadesprite must do one and a half AC this time. Please reply using the following format.
You may check in all your characters with one post if you wish!
