Hello! I'm Kim and I'm bringing in an OC from the series Axis Powers Hetalia. She's the country of Indonesia, but right now she's stuck being called the Dutch East Indies due to her canon point. Her application can be found here and her HMD can be found here. Feel free to use my HMD for questions, comments, etc.! I'm very excited to be playing here!

BASICALLY A QUICK GLANCE OVER INDIES... one of the largest nations in south east asia, loves spicy food, lots of europeans tried to colonize her (guess who won in the end!), and she's from the year 1925 of all things! She's also very petite and only about 4'10" because of her canon point.

Also, I'd like to note while her name is officially the Dutch East Indies, she personally doesn't like being called that. She likes being called Indonesia, and she'll refer to herself as that most of the time. I'll be using Indonesia for the most part as well.

i would say it's like if someone smashed indian food, middle eastern, thai, chinese, and dutch food together lmao.

it's usually pretty spicy because of the chillies and chili pastes. if not spicy it's always seasoned really well. a lot of different curries... some wet, some dry. indonesia pretty much invented satay/sate and brought it to other parts of south east asia.

then there is a lot of fruit because of what can grow in south east asia. bananas and plantains are popular, but they come in a lot more varieties than what we're used to. also a lot of people use cassava where potatoes are sometimes us.

OH we really like bright colored food. i am not sure why and have asked my mom this like four billion times. indonesia has red rice, blue rice, green rice, purple rice, yellow rice, black rice...

desserts are actually drinks or shaved ice most of the time. like grass jelly drinks, shaved ice with fruit and toppings. also a lot of what are known as the literally translation of 'cake' are more chewy and almost mochi like. also brightly colored. but there are some european influences on dessert. now it's common to see pastries, but a traditional dessert that is my favorite is martabak manis. it can be stuffed with chocolate, nuts, and cheese. some people like all three together... i rather just have nuts and chocolate.

this is like the standard dish of indonesia but it's not my favorite. i mean it's good but my favorite are:

• babi guling
• otak-otak
• soto betawi
• nasi bungkus
• kroket aka croquettes
• mie bakso aka meat ball soup

there's also the obvious good dishes like fried rice and fried noodles....
