Announcement: End of Rakuen

Hello everyone,

So as you have probably noticed, it's very quiet around here. Far too quiet and it's probably time we accept the inevitable that we don't have enough people to continue the game, especially since we have no Player sign ups and the last apps were a few rounds ago.

It's been a good run, we've been open more than a year and we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our players past and present for making this game awesome. We hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!

Don't worry though, we aren't planning on just letting the game fall into abandonment, we will be running a sort of end game. It wont be End Game the happy ending the characters had been hoping for but it will be an ending, fitting with the circular plot of Rakuen, which means that in a year or two if people want to start a new round of the game the premise is there but for these characters in this session it is over.

Our plan is to start the ending this Saturday (12th January) and have it run for two weeks (so a normal round) with the game officially ending on the 26th January.

This thread is for any questions and/or plotting you have, rest day has been extended until the 12th when the last round will start.

This does mean we do need players for this final round and anyone who wishes to sign up can do so in this post as well.

Circular isn't a happy ending? Yuka's been thinking for a while that there must be some pretty good reasons to keep spinning the wheel...

Or to put it another way, you aren't doing a "Rocks fall, everyone dies" are you?

And this is mostly directed at Kati, but I'd really like to play out "Cirno and Yuka figure out they aren't each other's Cirno and Yuka" before the end..

Well, maybe that's not the right term then. I suppose what I'm looking for is more like "Will they at least feel like they accomplished something useful?"

After all, it's not the character's faults that we're low on players...

The ending we have planned gives room for struggle until the very end and there is a strong sense of legacy, so characters will feel like even though they haven't been successful they will have made a difference to the next group, so that they might succeed.

So there will be a sense of accomplishment but for the greater good rather than their personal situation if that makes sense.

I'm really sorry I haven't been around much to help liven things up, but I'm all for doing everything I can to give one last big Hurrah!

I think I can only manage one player (two if needed), but I'll let you guys pick depending on if one school has more players offered than the other.

If anyone wants to plot something specific, please let me know! I might have to do a little backtagging, but I think it will be well worth it.
