End of Round 18

Once again it is the end of the round!

Rest day will last from today until 5th January. You can continue to backtag as much as you wish and make posts set in the last round but starting now characters apped in during the past two weeks can arrive in Rakuen.

Just a reminder to make sure your posts are labeled clearly as to whether they are set on the Rest Day or in Round 18, as for obvious reasons new characters can only take part in Rest Day threads.

- As a reminder, for the rest day, no one is a Player or a Weapon, so you can go wherever you like in the town. You can also go and apply for jobs, which will earn you 5 raks per rest day. Jobs are available in most places, such as various shops, restaurants and the cinema. You will also get free entry or a discount to wherever you work! Remember to let us know on the job application post.

- RAKS. Here is how to work out how many Raks your character has by the end of this round.

New characters had twenty (20) raks to start with.

1. If your character taught or attended classes this week, they got one rak per day, not including the rest day. Add 6 raks. (Note that classes were probably disturbed on Thursday and Friday due to the Turtle battle)

2. Whatever your role (Player/Weapon) or outcome, you earn 3 raks per battle. Tally up the battles your character participated in, and multiply that by 3.

3. Players earn 5 raks for every Weapon they win or vow with, no matter whether they still own them by the end of the round. Count how many Weapons your character owned throughout the round, and multiply that by 5.

4. Did your Player character win the round? They get 10 raks.

5. Are you a Weapon belonging to a winning Player (see above)? You get 4 raks. For a list of all Round Winners look here

6. Did your characters buy anything during the round? Subtract the raks for that now.

7. At the end of the round, the dominant school gives 10 raks to every character. For this round I'm holding off announcing it since people have been busy due to Christmas and such. Please go and record any battles on the Battle records as quickly as you can!

8. Rest day job? Add 5 raks.

The current round has ended. All marks of ownership will fade and IC Saturday (29th December - 4th January) is a Free Day, there are no classes and everyone is equal. New characters will arrive by train.

On Sunday (5th - 8th January) the new round will be announced. This is the sign up for those who wish their characters to be potential players next round. All characters signed up will be put into the spreadsheet that randomly selects Players.

This sign up is for all current characters including those who have been accepted and will be entering the game on Saturday. Sign up begins today and closes on Wednesday 2nd January. Anyone accepted up until that date may also sign up. The Player list will be released Thursday 3rd January to allow for Planning before the next round starts.

You may sign up all your characters, including those who were players last round. The next round will be 5th - 18th January. In signing up you agree that you will be reasonably available during that time, and do not foresee any long hiatuses.
