Next round Player Sign Up; Dungeon round.
Good evening, all!
It’s time for the next round of Player sign-ups. That’s not new. BUT. Next round will be a little different.
That’s because next round will be the first Dungeon Round!
Dungeons are a strange phenomenon in Rakuen. No one quite knows why they appear when and where they do, but the staff are quite happy to admit that they were a regular occurrence in their game, and the game before that, and the one before that... ad nauseum. On the day of the Round Change assembly - that is, IC!Sunday - or Saturday 24th March for you lot, characters will wake up to find a mist-coated, tattered pirate ship in the lake. One which mysteriously appeared overnight. Also, whilst the lake has proven rather lethal several times, it is nowhere near deep enough to safely house a galleon of this size.
It must be noted that this constitutes a trial session. We do not yet know whether this will be an effective type of event, but welcome any suggestions and feedback throughout the process. If you have comments, complaints or questions, don't feel like you can't approach us either publicly or privately. Some parts of it might not run very smoothly this time, and we ask you to bear with us.
Obviously the round will be different in several ways. Firstly, there will be no battles between Players. Instead, Players must form parties to go and explore the dungeons, during which explorations they may collect items from chests that can be sold back to Recette for raks, and defeat monsters for raks and experience. Not RPG experience, just the experience of being in a fight. Sorry, guys.
Players will be given an Exaclan-approved device that allows them to exit the dungeon at will - with their Weapons - and return later to that same point. It will bring the Weapons along no matter what they were doing at the time, and if you were being attacked when you exited, you will still be under attack when you return.
Players may take two members of their Weapon ‘party’ into the dungeon at any time. Each group of one Player and their Weapon(s) will enter in what are effectively separate instances of the ship, and will thus not bump into any other party within the dungeon. OoC, this means that each party will have its own thread. Everyone will still go to school and teach, but be expected to explore the dungeon after school. It is expected that you enter the dungeon at least once a day, if only for a few minutes to stab a giant fish and then leave.
The aim, other than stealing everything that isn’t nailed down, will be to reach the bottom of the ship and defeat the monster there. Defeating minor monsters on the way will gain the Player five raks and the Weapons three. Defeating the final boss yields a special reward and triggers the win condition for the round for the victorious Player.
Because this round is played differently, the ratio between Players and Weapons will be higher to guarantee that everyone who wants to gets to play. Therefore this week there are two sign-up posts. One is for general interest in the event (although those that don’t sign up can still join in: it’s just to give us a vague idea for the ratio) and a second one for Players.
So please sign up, under the correct header with your characters names and schools. As usual you can sign up all your characters in one post if you wish. Sign ups for Players are open until 21st March. ♥

Questions

I guess I'm curious as to how it'll work with there being a few parties and the final boss at the end. Or does each party get to fight their own final boss if they get to it?
Kim has a shitton of questions and I want to ask them all.

If you need to pick more than one of mine as Players, I'd rather only have one of my Conquesters picked if that's okay!
